Garlic Mustard Pull – Geddes Park

Event Description
Join us for a Garlic Mustard pull at Geddes Environmental Park in downtown Kincardine !
How to Get Involved:
- Show up at the Geddes Environmental Park parking lot in Kincardine for the 2pm start time
- Join the Kincardine Trails Association volunteer group by filling out a volunteer interest form and registering with the Municipality of Kincardine
- Visit the Invasive Species Management Project 2025 website
What to Expect
We will be working through a well defined project area, mechanically controlling garlic mustard by hand pulling it and disposing in plastic bags. The plastic bags will be gathered up and left outdoors to solarize at the end of the event (which will be disposed of at a later date).
Garlic mustard is relatively easy to pull out of the ground by hand, but still requires a lot of bending and repetitive motion – so be sure to warm up.
What to bring
- Garden gloves
- Spray with insect repellant (tics)
- Long sleeve/pants
- Appropriate footwear for conditions
