The Trails
There are 6 main trail sections that are integrated into the municipality of Kincardine and surrounding areas. Five trails are colour coded in addition to the new Kincardine to Inverhuron Provincial Park trail (named KIPP).
Trail maps:
- Paper trail maps are available at the Visitor Information Centre, #1802 Hwy 21.
The trail network is available on Google Maps and other services!
Connections
The Kincardine Trail system integrates and connects with other trail networks and places of interest in the county:
- The Great Lakes Waterfront Trail (connects on to the Pink trail via Goderich Street, and exits Kincardine via the KIPP)
- Stoney Island Conservation Area (via KIPP)
- Inverhuron Provincial Park (via KIPP)
- Bruce County Rail Trail
The Trail Users Code
The Kincardine Trails are made possible by the Muncipality of Kincardine and the countless hours of volunteer work to keep them maintained for use. Please review the Trail Users Code for the common sense codes of conduct expected of every trail user:
Multi use
The Kincardine Trails are more than just for walking! They allow for a multitude of outdoor activities including:
- Hiking
- Jogging
- Cycling
- Cross Country Skiing
- Snow shoeing
Please note: Motorized vehicles and hunting are prohibited
Trail Rating Scale
The network of trails incorporates a rating scale that summarizes overall difficulty into categories, ensuring there is a trail suitable for most everyone.
- Easy
- Moderate
- Varying Inclines
- Difficult – Steep Slopes
